What is a  quality inspection? A lot of people, including Builders and individuals who claim to have building experience, think they know how to perform an inspection and give advice. This couldn't be further from the truth. Home Inspecting requires a totally different point of view and set of skills! It also requires formal training!

I'm often asked, "I just want a basic inspection, what do you charge?" It seems they just want to get it over with at the lowest price they can find. In my opinion, if you are thinking this way you are making a big mistake!

Home inspecting is hard work and requires concentration. Trust me, your Home Inspector is the most important person you will hire! Realtors will show you houses in an effort to earn huge commissions! In comparison, quality minded home inspectors put a lot of time and effort into looking at 1000's of elements in each home with far greater risk for a very small fee! 

Most people don't realize that all inspection companies are NOT the same. Some do better work than others, just like any business. All Inspection reports are NOT the same. Some companies use the old Check List type reports with limited capability. Others use narrative type reports that read like a novel. AppleWood uses computerized reports and the latest technology.
